Pros

Excellent defensive ability

His man-marking, interceptions, and overall defensive awareness make him a reliable full-back. He times his tackles well and disrupts attacks effectively.

Great passing and playmaking

Alexander-Arnold's vision, long passing, and short passing are exceptional, allowing him to control the tempo and create goal-scoring opportunities from deep. His pinpoint crosses make him a dangerous attacking outlet.

Good pace and dribbling

He moves well with the ball, has solid close control, and can dribble past opponents when needed. His pace is decent enough to keep up with quick wingers.

Decent shooting ability

With his strong foot, he can strike the ball beautifully, scoring from distance when given space. His 4-star weak foot helps, though it's not highly reliable.

Physical presence and positioning

At 5’11", he has good strength and balance, making him hard to push off the ball. His positioning in attack is excellent, always available for passes and overlaps.

Cons

Attacking-minded full-back

His high attacking work rate and medium defensive work rate sometimes leave gaps at the back. While he recovers well, he can be caught out of position when the opposition counters.

Conclusion

Alexander-Arnold is an outstanding attacking right-back with elite passing, great defensive qualities, and solid dribbling. However, his attacking tendency can leave the defense exposed at times. A brilliant choice for those who want an offensive full-back.
