Pros

Excellent positioning and movement

Palmer’s attacking intelligence is top-tier. He constantly finds pockets of space, times his runs well, and positions himself to receive passes in dangerous areas, always staying involved in key build-ups.

Sharp dribbling and ball control

He feels smooth and agile with the ball. His quick touches and tight control allow him to glide through tight spaces and beat defenders easily, making him very reliable under pressure.

Strong physical presence and height

At 6'2", Palmer offers a solid physical presence for a CAM. He can hold off defenders, maintain balance in duels, and use his body effectively to shield the ball in advanced positions.

Great finishing and shooting

His shooting feels crisp and reliable. He can score from distance with finesse or power and finishes comfortably inside the box. His long shots, in particular, are consistently dangerous.

Reliable playmaking ability

Palmer creates chances with ease. His through balls, vision, and quick link-up passes are excellent for breaking down defenses. He can dictate play in the final third and provide key assists regularly.

Key attacking traits

He has Finesse Shot, Outside Foot Shot, Flair, and Long Shot Taker traits. These make him more dangerous in attacking situations, giving him extra tools to beat goalkeepers and defenders in different ways.

Cons

4 star weak foot

His weaker foot isn't bad, but under pressure it sometimes leads to missed shots or passes. A 5 star weak foot would’ve made him near perfect in front of goal and during quick combinations.

Conclusion

Cole Palmer is a top-class CAM who blends technical skills, creativity, and physicality. He stands out with his height, traits, and overall effectiveness in attack. While a stronger weak foot would help, his performance level still makes him one of the best attacking midfielders in the game.
