Pros

Excellent diving

Casillas covers corners impressively well, especially against quick, low shots. His diving animations feel sharp and controlled, giving him the ability to reach awkward angles that many keepers struggle with.

Great reflexes

His reflex saves are the biggest highlight. Close-range strikes, deflections, last-second touches inside the box, he reacts instantly and keeps you alive in chaotic moments.

Positioning

He rarely gets caught out of position. Casillas sets himself early, reads the attacker’s body shape, and closes down shooting lanes nicely.

Handling

His grip on routine shots is solid. He doesn’t spill easy attempts, and his saving animations remain stable even under moderate pressure.

Reactions

When rebounds break loose, he’s usually the first to respond. Whether it’s a deflected shot or a redirected header, he snaps into action quickly.

Cons

Not a great height for a GK

His height definitely hurts him against high finesse shots, looping attempts, and back-post headers. You can feel the lack of reach in several situations.

No special traits

At this level, having no traits is a huge drawback. He doesn’t have the extra animations or tendencies that modern meta keepers rely on, and it clearly lowers his ceiling.

Easily concedes finesse shots and power shots

Long-range finesse attempts and high powered strikes slip past him more than they should. His animations don’t always trigger the strong, full-stretch saves needed to stop them.

Not consistent or dominant at this level

Casillas performs well in calmer matches, but under heavy pressure he can feel unreliable. There are multiple keepers who offer stronger presence, better reach, and more consistent saves.

Conclusion

Casillas brings sharp reflexes and clean fundamentals, but his lack of height and absence of traits hold him back in the current meta. He’s usable and can shine in certain situations, yet he simply doesn’t provide the elite reliability expected at this stage of the game.
