With the launch of the Captains Event in EA Sports FC Mobile 4 weeks ago, Extra Time (ET) Picks were also refreshed. This update made Captains Shards part of the ET rewards system, giving players another way to progress in the event while using their ET Tokens: 04.
As the 5-week-long Captains Event now enters its final week, it is important for players to note that ET Tokens: 04 will expire after September 25, 2025 (UTC). Once expired, they will become unusable, so spending them before the deadline is crucial.
Why Extra Time Picks Matter
Extra Time Picks have been a secondary but important grind path, directly tied to the Captains Event. Since Captains Shards are a vital requirement for claiming event players and completing exchanges, the ability to gain them from ET Picks kept this section of the game very relevant.

Meanwhile, the Daily Pick can be purchased using gems but is not connected to ET Tokens, making it less impacted by the upcoming expiry.

Cost: 250 Gems (not ET Tokens)
Rewards: Low chance at shards or 95–111 OVR untradable cards
Notes: Since it does not require ET Tokens, it is unaffected by the token expiry.
Deadline: September 25, 2025
