FC Mobile Beta - Everything You Need to Know
During the recent Captains event live stream, Antwan and Tak closed things off with a big surprise: the introduction of a brand-new Beta version for FC Mobile. This beta is already available in select countries for a limited time, and it gives us a first look at some massive changes coming to the game. Here’s a complete breakdown of what’s inside the beta.
Introducing Badges
One of the biggest new features in the beta is the addition of Badges. If you’re familiar with consumables in FC25 Ultimate Team, this system works in a similar way. Badges essentially act as stat and OVR boosters that directly increase player attributes and overall team strength.
A brand-new Team Badge section has also been added. Here, you can collect players to level up your badge. The higher your badge level, the bigger the attribute boosts you get. On top of that, completing entire player groups grants extra rewards and additional attribute bonuses, which makes team-building even more important.
Rank Ups and Training
The traditional Mascherano system is gone. Instead, rank-ups will now use a dedicated Rank Up Currency. Training has also been tweaked. It seems players can reach max training levels even without fully maxing out in the old sense, and this will most likely tie into the new badge system. Essentially, progress feels smoother and less restrictive.
Division Rivals Revamp
Division Rivals has also received a huge overhaul. Matchmaking now features a lobby-style interface where both players and their chosen captains are displayed before the match begins. The scoreboard has been redesigned, and a brand-new goal notification animation has been added for a more immersive experience. This revamp makes the mode feel more competitive and engaging, and it’s clear EA wants to push Division Rivals to be a centerpiece of FC Mobile.
New Formations
The beta also introduces a number of new tactical formations. Among them are
5-4-1 Defend
3-4-2-1
3-1-4-2
4-4-1-1
4-3-2-1
And a few more setups that allow managers to get more creative with their tactics. These new formations open up fresh strategic approaches, particularly for competitive play.
Gameplay Improvements
Lastly, the beta also focuses heavily on gameplay enhancements. EA confirmed multiple underlying improvements to responsiveness, animations, and overall realism. Passing, shooting, and player movement have all been refined, while goalkeepers and defensive AI have been adjusted for better balance. These are still being tested, but the direction is clear - smoother gameplay, better realism, and more control for players.
The FC Mobile beta is still in limited release, but it already hints at some of the biggest changes the franchise has seen in years. With Badges, revamped Division Rivals, new formations, and major gameplay upgrades, this could be a turning point for the game moving forward.
