New Nation in the "Nations Story" event
After a long wait, a brand-new nation has finally been added to the Nations Story event, and this time it’s Portugal. Since the event’s launch, Nations Story has slowly expanded, and Portugal now becomes the third nation to receive its own chapter, following Japan and the Netherlands.
When Nations Story first arrived, Japan was the opening nation, featuring gallery cards capped at 113 OVR. Those cards are still available to claim even now. Later on, the Netherlands chapter raised the bar, introducing stronger players with 115 OVR cards in the Gallery, along with a more interactive chapter structure. Now, Portugal takes things even further with a stacked lineup of players and a fresh chapter design.
Portugal Gallery Cards
With the Portugal update, several high-profile Portuguese players have been added to the Gallery and can be claimed using Nations Story shards. Regular player cards include stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Vitinha.
On the Icons and Heroes side, familiar legends such as Ricardo Carvalho, Rui Costa, and Paulo Futre make their return. The biggest surprise, however, is the introduction of a brand-new Hero card – Ricardo Quaresma, making his first appearance in FC Mobile.
How the Portugal Chapter Works
Each nation in Nations Story has its own unique structure. Japan focused mainly on trivia-based gameplay tied to football history, while the Netherlands introduced a daily question system combined with a must-complete match and milestone rewards.
The Portugal chapter follows a different approach again. Players must complete two matches regularly, and upon completion, they receive Azulejo Tiles – Tile A, B, or C – which are awarded randomly. In total, there are six tiles to collect

Each time a tile is flipped, players receive a reward and also reveal a portion of a large image showcasing an iconic moment from Portuguese football history. Every tile unlocks one part of the image, and revealing all six completes the full artwork.
Milestone Rewards
As image sections are revealed, milestone rewards unlock gradually on the right side of the chapter. There are five milestone rewards in total:
1. After the first image reveal – 200 Training Transfer Points
2. Second reveal – 150 Rank Up Points
3. Third reveal – 600 Gems
4. Fourth reveal – 2 Million Coins
5. Final milestone – Portugal Premium Logo + 200 Nations Story Shards
Overall Impression
The Portugal update is a strong addition to the Nations Story event. With top-tier Portuguese players, a newly introduced Hero card, and a fresh tile-based progression system, it adds variety and long-term engagement. Compared to the Japan and Netherlands chapters, Portugal feels more visual and reward-focused, making it a worthwhile grind for both collectors and squad builders.
